Technical coordination for cleanroom engineering
Sagiant Piping Industries supplies and fabricates cleanroom products — modular wall and ceiling panels, cleanroom doors, vision and shaft doors, pass boxes, air showers and HEPA terminals — and coordinates their design and installation for pharmaceutical, biotech, hospital, electronics, food and laboratory environments. ISO 14644 classifies the air cleanliness of the finished room and EU GMP Annex 1 applies to sterile medicinal-product manufacture; products and components support a compliant facility but do not by themselves establish its classification or GMP compliance, which depend on the installed design, HVAC, qualification and operation.
Systems are designed to the target ISO 14644-1 class for the project. ISO classes address airborne particle concentration and are not a direct equivalent of GMP grades, which add operational and contamination-control requirements by occupancy state. Filtration is specified per system (for example EN 1822 H13 or H14), with air-change rate, room pressure relationships and surface detailing set by the design basis rather than a universal figure; surfaces use flush joints, sealed penetrations and cleanable details in stainless steel or pre-coated GI. We coordinate layout, airflow, qualification documentation (DQ / IQ / OQ, with PQ and client responsibilities defined) and installation.
Construction Materials & Grades
| Component | Material / Grade | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Wall & ceiling panels | SS 304/316, PCGI (pre-coated GI, A653/A653M), GI/CRCA skins | Core to suit the tested panel system — PUF, PIR, EPS, mineral wool and honeycomb differ in fire, structural and thermal performance and are not interchangeable |
| Doors & frames | SS 304/316, PCGI, aluminium 6063 | Flush faces, sealed penetrations and gaskets for cleaning |
| Glazing / vision panels | Toughened, laminated or fire-rated glass (selected by function, not interchangeable) | Flush, sealed units; fire evidence only where that assembly is tested |
| HEPA terminals & housings | Aluminium / SS housings; EN 1822 / ISO 29463 H13 or H14 filters (grade per system/design duty) | Terminal & ducted modules; factory filter class is separate from installed-system integrity testing |
| Hardware | SS hinges, locks, interlocks | Hygienic, cleanable |

Applicable Standards
| Scope | Standards |
|---|---|
| Cleanliness classification | ISO 14644-1 (classification), -2 (monitoring), -3 (test methods) |
| GMP | EU GMP Annex 1 (sterile medicinal products), WHO GMP, Schedule M — applicability depends on the product & jurisdiction, not a generic badge |
| HEPA filtration | EN 1822 / ISO 29463 (H13 / H14) — factory filter test; installed integrity tested separately |
| Fire-rated elements | EN 1634-1 / BS 476-22; EN 13501-2 (assembly fire resistance) — reaction-to-fire (EN 13501-1) is a different property |
| Material & quality | ASTM A240 (SS); ISO 9001 is quality management (certificate scope on request) |
| Qualification | DQ / IQ / OQ as project deliverables (lifecycle activities, not material specifications); PQ and client responsibilities defined per project |
Frequently Asked Questions
Which cleanroom classifications do you design to?
Rooms are designed to the ISO 14644-1 class required by the process. ISO classes address airborne particle concentration and are not a direct equivalent of GMP grades, which add operational and contamination-control requirements by occupancy state — a single ISO class does not by itself establish GMP compliance.
What panel and core materials do you use?
Stainless 304/316 or pre-coated GI skins with a core chosen to suit the tested panel system. PUF, PIR, EPS, mineral wool and honeycomb differ in fire, structural and thermal performance and are not interchangeable, so the core is specified per application with its evidence.
Do you provide HEPA filtration?
Yes — EN 1822 / ISO 29463 terminal and ducted HEPA modules, in H13 or H14 to suit the design duty, with integrity-test ports. The factory filter classification is separate from installed-system integrity testing and the room's particle classification, which are confirmed on site.
Is EU GMP Annex 1 the governing standard for every cleanroom?
No. Annex 1 is directed at sterile medicinal-product manufacture and is not applied indiscriminately to hospitals, electronics, food or all laboratories. The governing requirements, editions and acceptance criteria depend on the process and jurisdiction, and are confirmed per project.
Do you support qualification documentation?
DQ, IQ and OQ documentation and as-built drawings can be provided as project deliverables. These are lifecycle activities rather than product certifications; PQ support and the split of responsibilities between supplier and client are defined per project.
