Technical coordination for fire & safety solutions

Sagiant Piping Industries supplies fire and life-safety products — fire-rated metal doors, fire dampers, smoke dampers and fire-rated shaft doors — to the UL, EN or BS test route specified for the selected model, where that model carries the supporting test evidence, for commercial, healthcare, industrial, hospitality and infrastructure projects. Testing and certification are distinct, and a product follows one route with its own report or listing rather than all three at once.

Fire performance is stated per tested model as a classification — for example 30, 60, 90 or 120 minutes of integrity (E), with insulation (I) where required — not as an open-ended range, and it belongs to the complete tested assembly of leaf, frame, core, seals, hardware and any glazing. Shaft and vision-panel doors are offered in both rated and non-rated versions, with the fire-rated models identified on each product page. Doors and dampers integrate with HVAC duct systems and building fire-compartmentation strategies; the applicable rating, route and documentation are confirmed per model.

Construction Materials & Grades
Typical construction materials; assembly performance is proven by the doorset/damper test, not by a component alone.
ComponentMaterial / GradeNotes
Door skins & framesGI (A653/A653M, Z-coating) or CRCA (IS 513 / ASTM A1008); SS 304 optionalRoll-formed, infilled core
Door coreMineral / rockwool or honeycomb, to suit the tested modelFire & acoustic results come from the doorset test, not the core alone
DampersGalvanized steel (A653/A653M, Z-coating)Curtain & blade types
SealsIntumescent & smoke/cold-smoke sealsIntumescent seals expand when heated; smoke seals work at ambient and need their own evidence
HardwareHinges, locks, closers, panic devicesRated within the tested doorset; approved for that specific assembly
Product Range (Sub-Categories)
Sub-categories and their rating basis; a standard number is a test method, not a performance result.

Applicable Standards
Reference standards by scope; applicability, edition and classification are confirmed per model and project route.
ScopeStandards
Fire doorsEN 1634-1 (fire test) & EN 1634-3 (smoke test), classified to EN 13501-2; BS 476-20 / -22; UL 10C — routes not interchangeable
Fire doors (India)IS 3614 (2021 + amendments), with IS 17518 Part 1 where relevant
Fire dampersUL 555 or EN 1366-2 (route-specific; orientation & supporting construction apply)
Smoke dampersUL 555S or the EN smoke-control route (EN 1366-10); confirm the classification framework
Building fire safetyNFPA 80 (installation/maintenance), 90A / 92 (systems); NFPA 252 is a door fire-test method; NBC (applicable part/edition for the project)
Material & qualityIS 513, ASTM A1008 (CRCA), A653 (GI); ISO 9001 is quality management (certificate scope on request), not a product-performance result

Frequently Asked Questions

What fire ratings are available?

Fire resistance is stated per tested model as a classification — for example 30, 60, 90 or 120 minutes of integrity (E), with insulation (I) where required — to the EN 1634-1, BS 476-22 or UL 10C route specified. It is not an open-ended range, and it applies to the complete tested assembly, not a component alone.

Are the fire and smoke dampers certified?

Certification applies to a specific listed model, size range, actuator, orientation and supporting construction — not to the category. Fire dampers follow the UL 555 or EN 1366-2 route and smoke dampers the UL 555S or EN smoke-control (EN 1366-10) route; the two are not interchangeable. Confirm the listing or report for the selected item.

Can fire doors include vision panels?

Yes, but the glass alone does not set the rating. The glazing product, beads, seals, fixings and aperture size must all be permitted for that tested doorset — matching minute ratings is not sufficient. The approved glazing assembly and its evidence are confirmed per model.

How do fire and smoke performance differ?

Fire resistance (EN 1634-1 / BS 476-22 / UL 10C) addresses integrity and, where required, insulation; smoke control (EN 1634-3 / EN 1366-10 / UL 555S) addresses leakage and is tested and classified separately. A fire-rated product is not automatically smoke-rated, and vice versa.

Do you provide test certificates?

Test evidence, classification reports or listings and installation guidance are supplied for the selected model where available, confirmed per item and project route — they are not implied for every configuration.

Send your Fire & Safety Solutions requirement for technical review

Share quantity, application, opening dimensions, supporting wall/floor construction, the required performance and governing project standard, and — for doors — leaf/handing/glazing/hardware, or — for dampers — airflow, pressure and control requirements, with drawings and delivery location. The team will review the scope and respond with the next technical and commercial steps.
