Overview

Sagiant Piping Industries supplies cleanroom doors for pharmaceutical, GMP, hospital and electronics facilities — flush single- and double-leaf doors, sliding cleanroom doors, hermetic doors and vision-panel doors — in stainless steel 304/316 or coated GI/CRCA with an insulating core, flush-finished and gasket-sealed with coved or flush frames, stainless hardware, closers and optional interlocking. Doors are designed to support the applicable cleanliness and GMP requirements (ISO 14644, EU GMP Annex 1 / cGMP / Schedule M as the project specifies), but a door does not by itself make a room ISO-class or GMP-compliant — overall qualification depends on the installed room, HVAC and operation. Hermetic and fire-rated variants are confirmed against measured leakage or a complete tested doorset respectively.

Frequently Asked Questions

What are cleanroom doors made from?

Flush doorsets with stainless 304/316 or coated GI/CRCA skins over an insulating core, fully sealed for cleaning. The exact grade, skin thickness, core and gasket are specified per model and project, and no material is an automatic substitute for another.

Are the doors ‘ISO 14644’ or ‘GMP’ certified?

ISO 14644-1 classifies the airborne-particle cleanliness of a cleanroom, not an isolated door, and EU GMP Annex 1, WHO, cGMP and Schedule M are project or jurisdiction requirements rather than door product certifications. We supply doors designed to support the applicable requirements; overall qualification depends on the installed room, HVAC and operation.

What does ‘hermetic’ mean — is the door airtight?

A hermetic door uses an inflatable or compression seal for a low-leakage closure. Airtightness is confirmed by measured leakage under a stated differential pressure and direction against a defined acceptance criterion, not assumed from the door name; high-containment (for example BSL) use needs a facility-specific risk assessment and qualification.

Do interlocks maintain the pressure cascade?

Interlocks help prevent both airlock doors opening at once, but the pressure cascade also depends on HVAC balance, leakage, sensors, control logic and room operation. We define the control sequence, fail-safe behaviour and emergency release for the actual interlock; EU GMP Annex 1 governs simultaneous-opening control by area grade.

Are fire-rated cleanroom doors available?

Yes, as a separate fire-rated model. A rockwool core and intumescent seals do not by themselves establish a rating — the rating applies to a complete tested doorset (report, classification, size, wall, glazing and hardware), and EN / BS / UL results are not interchangeable. Fire-rated variants are kept distinct from standard cleanroom doors.

What sizes and finishes are available?

Hinged, sliding and hermetic configurations are offered within each model's size limits — the hinged range is not extrapolated to sliding or rated doors. Finishes are brushed stainless (No.4) or polyester powder coat within the approved coating systems available.
